Saved from NYC ACC #74356- We are calling upon our rescue supporters to please help NYBC help one of our local New York City pups in dire need of acute medical care. Thunder #74356 has been at the shelter since early September 2019. We were asked by ACC representatives if NYBC could assist with this sweet boy because he is now hospitalized for pyothorax due to pneumonia. Pyothorax is an accumulation of fluid that contains an infectious (usually bacteria) agent and immune system cells in the space surrounding the lungs and heart. Thunder is currently hospitalized and has chest tubes draining the fluid that is stressing his lungs. He is lethargic and has a loss of appetite. We are hoping that the critical medical team can get Thunder to a stable conditions we can continue to help him find a foster and forever. Please donate today to help this very sweet fella.
