Chained and starved, Oblio and his little buddy, Arrow, lived a life of loneliness and desperation. That lifestyle is about to change. A compassionate FEMA agent noticed the concerning condition of Oblio while on a routine visit for post-Hurricane Maria assistance. At the damaged and unkept residence, an elderly couple lived and apparently was in no capacity to care for animals. Oblio’s collar attached to the chain that bound him was too big. Did it once fit him but now he is so skinny it just hangs? They are flea and tick infested, hungry and thirsty and want human love. The FEMA agent post a plea for help for these dogs and NYBC was asked if we could take on another dire case. We cannot turn our backs on Oblio and Arrow. They need immediate medical attention. We need a diagnosis as to why Oblio is so skinny. Does he have a disease or is he malnourished from being starved? Is Arrow healthy? Tick diseases or heartworm? So many concerning questions but we will get them the medical care that they need, with your help. Please consider contributing to this pair’s care. Help us break the chains of heartache and show them a future filled with kindness.
