HELP ME GET SEEN & ADOPTED!
Last week we briefly introduced you to Chito during a compelling video of why sterilization clinics are crucial to to impact to overpopulation of street dogs in impoverished towns across the globe. Chito happens to have been one of the countless unwanted street dogs trying to survive alone among little to no food, clean water and plagued with disease with no hope of medical attention.
On one of Karina’s heart wrenching journeys to help these innocent victims of circumstance, Karina and her travel partner spot Chito. he was alone, weak and scared when they approached him. Chito was trying to survive and living among garbage and loneliness. Immediately Karina knew what he was presenting with- Chito has a TVT, transmissible venereal tumor, on his face and like so many we have seen before, his sinus cavity is badly infected and pus is oozing from his eyes. He is anemic and has erhlichia. All of these ailments are the result of being a neglected street dog due to unwanted pregnancy. Sadly this is becoming second nature to us and of course the rescuers.
Please support Chito’s treatment and future medical care.
