With the heaviest of hearts, our sweet Mila has crossed the rainbow bridge. Precious Mila passed away during surgery. As explained to us, when surgery began, Mila’s intestinal tissue was already necrotic. Whether or not this was because of bloat is undetermined, but we were made aware that the odds of her surviving were nil. Athough Mila’s time with us was short, we hope that she knew she was loved unconditionally and that she was able to enjoy the experience of just being a playful dog. She came to us scared, shy and unable to come out in public and transformed into a bundle of love with a wagging tail.
This is a very difficult time for the staff of NYBC. They handle and care for each of the NYBC pups all day, everyday. They spend holidays with them, come in on their days off for some, and consider them their own. Please pray for Mila but also pray for the amazing, selfless humans that love these pups with all their heart.
We thank you for compassion and support during this mournful time.
PLEASE HELP MILA- Our sweet Mila presented with severe symptoms of GVD,gastric dilation/volvolus, BLOAT. She is being rushed to the hospital now , please pray that she is strong enough to make it. Bloat will twist the stomach or intestines which then cuts off blood supply to tissue and most importantly the heart. When this happens, it can kill within hours. No one knows what causes it and no one is sure how to prevent it. Please pray for Mila, she needs your help.
