The story is that there were other dogs with him months ago, and people took them but left him behind. ALONE. Was he not worthy to be saved? Rescued in memory of Lazarus, this is Leonidas. On the day that Lazarus passed away, we were sent an image of Leonidas. Again, defeated, abandoned and alone. We can not understand the depths of despair that these dogs are enduring. The level of suffering is beyond belief. We immediately committed to his care but when the rescuers went to where he was, he was not found. Someone picked him up so he would not be in the hot sun and heat anymore until they were able to coordinate with us and get him to our vet in Puerto Rico. He arrived today. He has heartworm, whipworms, hookworms, Demodex mange, infested with ticks. He is severely malnourished, dehydrated and has mucus oozing from his nose and eyes. Please help Leonidas.
