HELP ME GET SEEN & ADOPTED!
UPDATE 10/9/2017- It is with a broken heart that we have to announce that our baby girl Azur Aka Clementine has crossed the rainbow bridge. The joy that this young pup has brought to the NYBC family and to Craig and V in the short time with us is immeasurable. Although we were told that she was terminal, her condition so rare that they were hardly any studies, we had always hoped that love would conquer her disease. Unfortunately her tiny body was overcome by the aggressive and large tumor and the choice had to be made to let her go surrounded by love. The multiple specialists gave us specific signs to let us know when it was time and they said that her quality of life would change rapidly and dramatically. Azur, as she is called affectionately, seemed to struggle over the last 24 hours and as each hour passed it became more apparent the cancer was winning. Her breathing became labored and her movement almost halted completely. Today, as the doctor examined her, the biggest concerned was that her heart was compromised by the mass. This painful decision was made with pure love in mind. Let us all receive the pain of heartbreak as to release Clementine of her painful prison.
May she always know how we all love her and let her run again like a beautiful puppy with the angels.
Thank you all for your kindness throughout Clementine’s journey with NYBC. She was very lucky to have you all supporting her.
UPDATE 9/8/17 – This is not the prognosis we wanted to hear. Our sweet baby girl Clementine has a massive tumor that spreads from her lungs, wraps around her aorta, and dissects her spinal column. She is diagnosed with neuroblastoma, an extremely rare condition. Surgery is not an option at this point because the mass is wrapped in blood vessels and has compromised multiple organs. We will not put her through unnecessary pain and discomfort. We will be discussing holistic options and other therapies. Unfortunately, we do not have timeframe but we will make her as comfortable as possible. She is still very much a puppy and as active as she can be. But this is an aggressive disease and we know it is an unfortunate matter of time.
We would ask that if someone can open their heart and home to foster Clementine during her most precious time, to give her attention and unconditional love, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for the application link. It takes a very special someone to enter into this task, but the love in return is immeasurable.
Pray for Clementine.
SAVED FROM ACC- This beautiful 6 month old female that we have named Clementine, was saved outside Brooklyn ACC last night by the same passionate animal activists that saved our boy Tyrus. She was being surrender by her owner because he had nowhere else to turn. Luckily, dedicated advocates were able to negotiate her surrender and contacted NYBC. This sweet little girl is unable to mobilize her rear legs and we don’t know why. She is on her way to Grady Animal Hospital now for an evaluation. Please contribute to her care. WE NEED YOUR HELP.
And stay tuned for her surrender story and video plus updates later on as we receive…
