1/21/2018 – It is with the deepest sorrow and heartache that we announce the passing of our brave boy, Bendito. We are humbled to have been a part of his journey and existence. Bendito was found as a stray, starving and in grave condition. He was scared and alone. What we hope we gave him were comfort and companionship. He was once lonely and hungry, he came to know companionship and a full belly. Once he was fearful, he then learned to trust. Bendito gave us hope and strengthened our faith. His silly wiggle and happy tail let us know he was thankful for saving him. Although this end is not the one we prayed for, it is a passing filled with unconditional love. Bendito was surrounded by the caring and loving people that watched over him and gave him his very best chance at knowing joy. Bendito passed with dignity and was helped over that rainbow bridge by his beloved friends. We greatly appreciate all the love you have showered him with and the support.
Bendito knew how very much he was loved. He was told often how many people loved him.
Thank you all for walking beside him on his path and for carrying him when he couldn’t anymore. We can take solace in knowing he is now running free with all the other beautiful angels that have passed before him.
Enjoy your spectacular beauty, Bendito. Until we meet at The Bridge. Rest in the most beautiful peace. You are loved. 💔
Thank you @paseosvetcenter and @ivep_me for your constant love and guidance and compassion. We are honored to call you friends.
EMERGENCY RESCUE 12/1/2017 The Humane Society of Puerto Rico received notice of this dog, severely wounded and infected, starved and in desperate need of rescuing. They reached out to New York Bully Crew to see if we could track and get him to safety. Our boots on the ground director found and brought Bendito to the hospital immediately this morning for emergency medical care. He is in bad shape and we need your support to help get him stable. Notice the cropped ears! He was someone’s dog but by the looks of his emaciated frame and long nails, he has been on the streets for a long time. Please consider contributing to Bendito’s care today. We will update his condition as we receive information. NYBC has committed to Bendito’s medical care and well-being with the assistance of HSPR. Remember, teamwork saves lives.
