ABOUT ME:

4/12/17 UPDATE – Wet to dry wound dressing is the treatment for Caci. The necrotic, dead tissue is falling off, but it leaves huge open wounds. Her wounds still need to be treated so infection doesn’t set in. She will need to be sterilized also before she can travel to us in NY.
She has a road ahead of her, but we will all be beside Caci on her journey!

4/5/17 UPDATE – Caci is not giving up and is fighting because of all of you! The swelling on the left side of Caci’s head is less due to the placement of the drains. Other drains might be placed later today to help her right side. The right side is still extremely swollen. She is resting on her soft cushioned bed and hopefully is feeling some relief. This is an hour by hour case because of all the possible variables that might have caused this condition. But keep praying for our BRAVE and MIGHTY CACI.
***Drains were put in place yesterday when Caci’s doctor seen slight signs of improvement from the antibiotic therapy. This will relieve the tension and stretching of the skin. There were multiple puss filled abscesses and necrotic, dead tissue.

4/3/17 UPDATE- PLEASE PRAY FOR CACI- Caci is not doing well! Her eyes are now swollen shut! We are doing everything possible to help her. Please pray. She is hospitalized and receiving IV antibiotics, having tests ran, and round the clock care.

4/2/17 RESCUE DOESN’T HAVE OFF ON SUNDAY Rescue team is on site with this tiny female that appears to have severe head trauma and we are told had her babies thrown away in a box. We were asked by Pit Bull Rescues Survivors if we could help with emergency medical treatment and we could not turn our backs on her. She is alone and in pain! Who does this to an animal? They are taking her immediately to an emergency hospital for treatment now!
We will update the second we know more information.
Please help us help Caci- We named her Caci for it’s meaning- BRAVE.
