prada’s Story
A kind NYPD officer from the 103rd Precinct contacted us to help a young pittie who had just been surrendered at the station.
Her eyes were nearly swollen shut, and the officers initially believed it was due to allergies. But after closer inspection, we discovered she’s suffering from severe entropion, a painful condition where the eyelids roll inward, causing the lashes to scrape against her eyes.
We were told that if no rescue could step in, her only other option was to be sent to the town kill shelter. That’s when they called us.
We believe she was surrendered because of her eye condition, which makes this even more heartbreaking. She’s just a baby. She is incredibly sweet and playful despite the pain she’s in.
This is where we need your help, as she will need corrective surgery as soon as possible. This little girl will be seen by the veterinarian tomorrow, as she has suffered for way too long.
She deserves so much more.
