blu’s Story

This is Blu, and his story is one that breaks our hearts, but we’re determined to rewrite the ending with your help.

Blu was just hours away from being euthanized at the shelter. He didn’t end up there because of anything he did wrong. His young owner lost her apartment and, heartbreakingly, had no choice but to surrender him.

Through no fault of his own, Blu found himself alone, scared, and out of time.

When we saw Blu, we knew he deserved a second chance. We pulled him from the euthanasia list just in time, but what we discovered next made us even more determined to fight for him.

Blu’s ears had been cruelly cut off, likely with scissors. It’s a painful reminder of the neglect he’s endured. Unsurprisingly, he’s suffering from ear infections. His skin is raw and irritated, and he seems to be battling early arthritis, making every movement uncomfortable.

Despite everything, Blu is gentle, and looks at you with sad eyes.

Now, Blu needs our help. He needs medical care, treatment, and comfort, and we can’t do it without you.
