Handsome’s Story
This beautiful boy has come so far , but he still needs the right home to truly thrive.
Handsome was abused and neglected as a puppy, then dumped during a hurricane and found stranded alone on an island with his tail cut off. Despite it all, he’s proven to be smart, resilient, and incredibly loyal.
✅ Excels in obedience & learning new commands
✅ Friendly with people & dogs (though plays rough)
✅ AKC Good Citizen course almost complete
✅ Loves hikes, adventures, and alert barking with purpose
✅ Funny, vigilant, and very handsome 🐾
BUT:
⚠️ Struggles with handling at times
⚠️ Some food guarding around bowls
⚠️ Needs a secure yard (he can jump fences!)
⚠️ Would do best in an experienced, calm, adult-only home
He’s working with trainers and making progress, but his current home isn’t the right long-term fit, and we want to avoid a heartbreaking return to the shelter.
