Baby Romeo’s Story
We rescued Baby, then known as 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼, back in 2021, and he was adopted into what we thought would be his forever home.
In 2024, Baby was diagnosed with intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) and needed a spinal surgery to keep him from becoming permanently paralyzed.
After the surgery, he made a full recovery. Later that same year, his condition recurred. He was put on strict rest and, against all odds, recovered again.
Today he’s mobile, playful, and full of life, though he has a little hitch in his step and must avoid stairs, jumping, and other high impact activities.
Sadly, Baby’s adopter had to move into a second-floor apartment with only stairs, something Baby cannot handle. He was placed temporarily with a family member, but their dog is not dog-friendly, and the situation was unmanageable.
Now Baby is once again in need of rescue, through no fault of his own. He is sweet, loving, great with kids, and does well with non-dominant dogs. He deserves a safe, stable home where he doesn’t have to face more heartbreak after everything he’s already survived.
Baby Romeo needs a home urgently. It never ends, but Baby shouldn’t have to pay the price.
