kingston’s Story
We were contacted about a dog who underwent a terrible “accident” in South Carolina.
This poor fellow went into someone’s yard, where he found a female in heat.
As you can imagine, Kingston and the dog of the home began mating, and the owner of the female pulled them apart.
By doing so, Kingston’s prepuce and skin completely tore apart, leaving his penal organ hanging and exposed. We can only imagine the pain Kingston and the female went through.
This is why it is important to spay your animals, especially if you leave them outside unattended, which is something we are against.
Kingston was then brought to the shelter, where he thankfully underwent a successful reconstruction surgery.
Kingston remained at the shelter, unclaimed, and we were then asked to help.
This incident could have ended very badly for the two dogs involved, but thankfully, Kingston is now safe with us.
