Stone’s Story

We rescued Stone in August, and we are still looking for his person.

When Stone was transported to us, he had been locked for 24 hours in a cage, petrified and confused. Stone exhibited aggressive behavior, such as lunging and barking, due to his fear, broken heart, and confusion.

At first, Stone was hesitant to trust, but after some time to decompress, Stone put his guard down.

Letting a dog decompress and come out of their shell on their own time is the key to success.

After a few months with us, Stone is now fully acclimated to everyone at the rescue. He is such a handsome boy; it is so hard not to fall in love with him!

Stone is a great dog, and it saddens us to know that he had his heart broken by his previous owner, who never socialized him, and then abandoned him after two years by advertising him on a Facebook post.

We can confidently say that Stone will be ready for a new home, but please be aware that we will be extremely selective about his future family.

Stone will require a strong and experienced handler, who has the time to continuously work with him, and just like any other dog, give him the physical exercise and mental stimulation he needs.

If you believe that you are the right person ( or family ) for Stone, please fill out an application.
