Bolt’s Story
We made an urgent plea to find a foster home to save Bolt.
Bolt was going to be euthanized in 24 hours, and although we had no room, we still wanted to help.
We couldn’t fathom that Bolt was going to be put down, and we pulled him in the nick of time.
Bolt is deaf and lost his home after his owner became disabled. Initially, a family member took Bolt home. Unfortunately, Bolt was unaltered at the time and kept on mounting the family’s un-spayed female, which resulted in an altercation.
Afterward, Bolt got neutered, and they didn’t get into a fight again. He has also been good with other dogs.
However, there was an incident in the home. Bolt tends to resource guard his toys, and one of the family members was bitten over a toy. The bite did not break the skin.
These incidents sadly led Bolt to end up on death row, which isn’t fair.
Bolt is now safe with us, and we will evaluate him, and work with his BI.
